The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gary Mills can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Photographer & Friend

I knew Gary first through business, he was the Markmaker's advertising agency's first choice for photographers a century ago - in the 70's 80's. I worked with him through the agency and then when I had my own design studio. I helped him initiate his new space in the East Race Studio ~ for the cover of Today in Michiana ~ on summer camp and what to do with the kids. We had 12 children of which 2 were babies at that photo shoot! Met Michael Warren (the actor from Hill Street Blues) at that studio with Gary. Over the years, Gary became a friend, a good friend, always had a snipit that made you smile and laugh. I am sorry I was not able to say 'good-bye'! God Bless        Shelley Heiden
