Built in 1852, the King Street facility was widely known in the 1870s as the Berkeley Female Seminary. In 1924, H.K. Brown purchased it and used it as both a residence and funeral parlor. It has since been remodeled three times, with additions in 1951 and 1961. It is the birthplace of Charles M. Brown.
Built in 2000, this modern facility can be seen from I-81 and is easily accessible at Exit 5, Inwood - Rt. 51. While offering comfort to families, the chapel itself can accommodate 300.
This stone chapel was built in 1922 as an Episcopal mission and later became a Lutheran church. In 1982 Brown Funeral Home bought the former church in Ranson and began operating it as a funeral chapel.
