Condolence: My deepest sympathy on the passing of one great guy! Our class of 1965 has lost a great friend and classmate in Gary. Thanks to those classmates who brought so much joy to his life. My memories of Gary go way back to when he and his dear Mom and Dad lived on Valley Street and our family lived on S. Kentucky Avenue. I can still remember the times that I would be walking to the store on the corner of King St. and Valley St. and see Mr. and Mrs. Mills sitting on the porch. What a great couple....always a smile for me!
To Mr. Mills, Leighton (one terrific teacher) and Betty (whose gracious ways I always admired), and Colin (you were blessed with a great Dad), along with so many others who have lost a precious loved one in the passing of Gary, please know that he will forever remain in my heart and in memory.
My husband and I moved to Michigan 20+ yrs. ago and are so sorry that we could not get to visit with Gary since he was so close while in South Bend to Kalamazoo.
Heaven has gained a wonderful soul in welcoming Gary! He must be taking some awesome photos now!
My thoughts and prayers are with each of you, both now and in the days to come. Gary was a truly special person and I thank God that he brought us together all of those many years ago.
May the peace of Christ be with each of you! I am sorry that I can not be there to hug all of you. But I will be there in thought and prayer....and I will be remembering!
In Deepest Sympathy and Love, Donalda

Condolence: My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family and friends of Gary's. Gary and I shared homeroom together. He always made us laugh. His dad and his late mom also lived above my late dad years ago at Kent Terrace Apartments. I see his dad ever so often in Walmart and we always stop and talk a bit. I was so grateful that Jeff Hedges read Gary's letter at our reunion. May God comfort and grant His peace to ALL!!! Sincerely, Zena McGill Williams
