Running out of gas...

After only weeks in Winchester in August 1994, I had met and become close friends with my soon to become "best man". Dave and I were traveling on fumes and we ran out of gas. But we didn't mind. We sang old Christian Hymns like"As a Deer Panteth" and Dave's favorite,"The Old Rugged Cross". We weren't far from the brand new Winchester Church of God and said "come on, you need to meet my Pastor, Darrell Waller. "Plus" I said, "the church has this huge basketball court". Say no more, Dave was ready to go! So we walked the rest of the way and introduce him to Pastor Waller and the church and leave them to acquaint for a few minutes, only to come back from the restrooms looking for them, and their both having it out on the basketball court. They became good friends from there. I'm so happy for Dave, that he is free from pain, rejoicing with His Savior. I love you Dave!
