Life Story for Kevin Leslie Driscoll

Kevin Leslie Driscoll
Kevin L. Driscoll, age 63 of Martinsburg WV, passed away suddenly May 30, 2018. He is survived by his lovely wife of 41 years, Mary Jane, and his 7 children: Season (Jason), Shayla, Kevin (Claudia), Don (Jen), Kristina, David and Amy. He is also survived by twelve wonderful grandchildren: Joe, Bridger, Leslie, Cassy, Colby, Tyler, Anna, Olivia, Kevin J, Emma, Justin, David. Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Justin Driscoll, and mother, Dorothy Bates Driscoll, but is survived by his sisters, Kathy, Wendy and Justina (Mike), his step mother Veda Driscoll, and his step siblings, Sherry, John, Susan, Greg, and Cathy. Kevin was born in Castine, Maine June 19, 1954 and shared his love of Maine, instilling it in his family and created many memories for us through many wonderful vacations. Kevin was fiercely patriotic and proudly served in the US Army until September 29, 1975 and the Reserves until April 4, 1979. He was a strong believer in education and was proud to have earned his MBA. He traveled to and lived in various areas of the country, including Colorado, where he first met his beautiful wife Mary Jane. He was a lover of music, performing in various bands in the early years of his marriage, and passed on his love of music to his posterity. Kevin spent many years on the computer for work and for pleasure. He enjoyed listening to audio books; some of his current favorites where Harry Bosch and Jack Reacher novels. He loved the water, especially sailing and swimming. Several years ago, he purchased and helped rebuild a sailboat in his garage. He brought this sailboat to Maine many years in a row, teaching his children and grandchildren to sail up and down the lakes. He loved spending time with his family and creating memories, whether around a campfire having smores, in the home watching movies, or working in the yard. Kevin’s presence, encouragement and wisdom will be missed by many, but most of all by his family, who love him. We are grateful for the love of the Lord and the knowledge that this mortal life is not the end of existence. And, although we know this life is short and we will see him again, our time without him with us will always ache. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:00AM at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 1050 Lovelace Way Martinsburg, WV 25401.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery. Arrangements by Brown Funeral Home.
