The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rick Johnson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Hi daddy, I miss you terribly. I really don't know how I'm surviving. I go to call you and realize I can't anymore. I don't know how this all happened. I don't know why it happened. I can only hope that where you are, is wonderful. Life doesn't feel real. I wish you were here with the kids. God, you would have been a great grandpa. I keep your memory alive by telling them stories and showing pictures. You were so loved and are so missed. It never gets easier, you made to much of an impact on everyone's life. Your spirit was so bright. I see the monarch butterflies you send us. I'm taking care of momma.

Condolence: Though I hadn’t seen Rick in a long time I have wonderful memories of a very sweet boy who I thought of as one of my big brothers. After growing up I realized that what I took for granted was really special and unique. I have lots of memories but one that comes to mind is the time I thought I had a tapeworm. I still remember Rick and Tom having me lift weights to convince me otherwise. Many prayers for all of you, especially you Phyllis, “my second mom”.

Condolence: To the Johnson family, we can't hardly express in words how sorry we are for your loss in the passing of Rick.

Even though we moved from Martinsburg over 40 years ago we did get to meet back up the past few years and renewed old friendships.
Rick never failed to call ( or text in recent years ) to remind me my birthday was 2 weeks before his which made me much older than him.
Last year he sent a picture of his Grandson and was so proud.

May all of your memories help bring you peace.

Thinking of you with sympathy,

Mike

Condolence: Blessings to the family. God has him in his keeping; you have him in your hearts! Rick was an amazingly strong, independent and funny man. He had me smiling every time we met. He will be missed by all who knew him. A rest well earned my friend.

Condolence: Johnson Family please except my condolences on the passing of Rick, I hope you all have been able to find comfort in the God of all comfort Jehovah. I too have felt the pain of losing a loved one in death, however Gods word the bible reminds us that death is only tempuary. Revelations 21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. John 5:28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out... 1Corinthians 15:26 And the last enemy death, is to be brought to nothing. 1Corinthians 15:55 "Death where is your victory? "Death where is your sting? I invite your family to please go to JW.ORG where you can find out more about Gods purpose for mankind and how you can see your loved one again in a paradise right here on earth, just like the one Adam and Eve lost due to their disobedience.
