It seems like I just spoke with Jay, and in fact in wasn't long ago. I worked with Jay (and Pat) within the last five years at a local company where I serve as the HR Manager and Jay as a security monitor. I spent quite a lot of time with Jay as I would often stand or sit near the exit and say goodnight to employees who were leaving. During that time I would speak with Jay who always impressed me with his knowledge on a wide variety of subjects. I was particularly interested to speak with him about movies as we shared that passion. He loved all types of films and was planning to move to the Boston area to run a theater which was being renovated. After Jay left Martinsburg for Boston, we kept in touch. We spoke on the phone and texted each other. The situation in Boston didn't pan out, and he moved back to the Martisburg area not all that long ago. He would call me occaionally and ask about things at work, talk about films, or some other topic of interest. I liked Jay a lot. I learned from him and always enjoyed his company. It was never an imposition when he called because I looked forward to speaking with him whenever he did. I was shocked to hear the news of his passing at such a young age even though I was well aware that his health was not good. I'm truly saddened to learn of his passing and am glad I took the time to know him and keep in touch with him. I can say without a doubt that my life was made better for having known Jay Tabor. My condolences to Pat and the rest of Jay's family. I'll miss you Jay!
