Condolence: I had the privilege to meet Darrell back in January 1980 when he was about 10 years old. I was dating his older brother Michael at the time and we where both station at Fort Lee, Virginia. About two years afterward Michael and I had planned to get marry and Darrell was suppose to be our ring bearing. Although Michael and I didn't get marry, the Carey / Winston Family have always been in my heart. When I visited the family with Michael in Kearneysville, WV everyone welcomed me with an open heart. Mother Thelma Winston treated me like I was her own daughter. All the siblings showed me lots of love. Although Michael (my True Love) and I didn't become husband and wife, my love for the Family never faded away. I still tell my friends that the Carey / Winston Family were the best In-Laws anyone could ever ask for. About 8 years ago I was trying to find someone from the family on the internet and I found Darrell. It amazed me that he still remember me. He was still the loving person that I had meet back in 1980. Mother Thelma raise all her children to be loving and caring people. To the Family, I say that the Good Lord needed a very special angel in heaven and Darrell had the best resume and now you have a very special angel in Heaven watching over the Family. I thank the Good lord for giving me the privilege to meet such a wonderful Family. Lots a love and blessing to such a wonderful Family.
