Larry Ashby Wallace, 76, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.

Larry was born on April 28, 1942 in Winchester, VA and was the son of the late Roderick Wallace and Evelyn Henderlite Wallace.

He was a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church. He was active in jail ministry with Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center where he volunteered for fourteen years. He served as a Chaplain at the jail since April 10, 2016. He served with the Reformers Unanimous Program for many years in Virginia and WV.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara “Bobbie” Meadows Wallace; one son, Jeffrey Wallace; two daughters, Angela Kaufman (Don) and Kathy Keller; three grandchildren; Anthony Keller, Ashley Nguyen (Jonathan) and Jaxon Grandstaff; three brothers, Wayne Wallace (Maureen), Stanley Wallace (Eva) and Claude Wallace and one sister, Grace Wallace.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Services will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Corey Bane officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be private at Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
