William “Bill” Junior Hite, 82, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019.

William was born on August 1, 1936 in Martinsburg and was the son of the late Manis H. and Madaline Hite.

He was a member of Leetown Baptist Church. He retired From Jefferson County Board of Education after 40 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Carol VanMetre Hite; one son, James Hite; three daughters, Robin Painter, Pamela Foster and Esther Hite; one sister, Betty Walls; six grandchildren and One great-grandson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Mary Hite; one brother, James Manis Hite and two sisters, Ardella Murphy and Delma Sine.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor. Chris Walls and Pastor Johnny Faircloth officiating. Interment will be at Central Chapel Cemetery.
