Jacob Phillip Tobin of Martinsburg WV was reunited with his parents Amos “Pete” Tobin Jr. and Carolyn Tobin on August 25th, 2018 at Berkeley Medical Center due to a hereditary condition. Jacob was born June 25, 1987 in Martinsburg, WV. Jacob graduated from Martinsburg High School in 2005 where he was an active member of the FFA and 4-H. He was employed by National Fruit Company Winchester VA at the time of his passing.

He followed in his father’s footsteps attaining his CDL at the age of 18 and started his career with Spurgeon Trucking. He achieved his dream job working as a Fleet Driver at National Fruit Product Company, where he was a member of the Teamsters Local #29. In his spare time, he was a member of The Ghostbusters Tri-state Division Charity, giving back to his local community. He lived his life to the fullest and always put others first. He enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with those he loved.

He is survived by his three sons Eathen, Isiac, and Vanden along with his three sisters Jodie and Adam Cook, Jonie and James Stenack, Janel and Eric Tomlinson and four nieces Caroline and Juliann Cook as well as Keryn and Keagan Stenack. He also leaves behind his companion in life, Melissa Rhoads and her two children Jacob and Jonathan. In addition, he leaves behind his mentor Henry Hawkins who guided him along his life’s path after his father’s passing and his best friend Bobby Petersen. Also, he leaves behind a large family and lifelong friends who were at his side when he passed.

In addition to his parents he was proceed in death by his Grandparents Joan and Amos Tobin Sr, Janett (May) Keesecker, two uncles Joseph “Buck” Tobin and Robert “Robuck” Emmons and one aunt Myrtle Tobin.

The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to National Fruit Product Company for their continuing support through the family’s most difficult times over the years and to the employees of Berkeley Medical Center ER and ICU for going above and beyond in the care they provided to Jacob and family.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood. Service and interment are private.
