Richard Lloyd  Byers
Richard Lloyd Byers, 76, of Inwood, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Rose Hill Nursing Home, Berryville, VA.

Born June 16, 1941 in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Lloyd D. Byers and Elizabeth Brettschneider Byers.

He was a veteran of the US Navy and attended the Cross Point Church of God.

After 34 years of service he retired from 3M as transportation and purchasing supervisor. He enjoyed traveling, sports, and coaching little league. He enjoyed eating out with his grandchildren, friends, and family.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Busey Byers; one son, Brad Byers and wife, Pam of Bunker Hill; one daughter, Kelly Gesford and husband, Brian of Woodstock, VA; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Sam, Zach, Kelsey, Jack, Lance, and Justin; six great-grandchildren, Nick, Molly, Milo, Pearl, Henry, and Sophie; and one brother, Wayne Byers and wife, Marguerite.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:00AM at the South Berkeley Chapel with Pastor Harold Newsome officiating, assisted by Gene Ruleman and John Streett. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cross Point Church of God, 3066 S. Childs Road, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
