Obituary for E. Margaret "Smeltzer" Snyder

E. Margaret Snyder, 88, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at her residence.
Born January 31, 1928 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Thatcher Harlan Smeltzer and Cora Pearl Leopold Smeltzer.
She was a graduate of Martinsburg High School's Class of 1946. She was retired with 38 years of service and perfect attendance from C&P Telephone Company. Along with her husband, Nelson, they owned and operated Snyder's Greenhouse. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose, Williamsport Redmans Club, and Elks Lodge in Hagerstown.
She is survived by one brother, Kenneth Smeltzer and wife, Phyllis of Spring Mills; Coretta Brining, of Martinsburg and Betty R. Cline of Chewsville, MD; her caregivers, Nancy Whittington, Barbara Sheppard, and JoAnn Tucker; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson L. Snyder, who passed away on May 18, 2004; two brothers, Jack and Dave Smeltzer; and four sisters, Virginia Chase, Lena Stout, Lillian Cramer, and Louise Smeltzer.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, October 27, 2016 in Rosedale Cemetery with Pastor Laurie Slevin officiating.
