June "Aunt June" "Jiggers" Louise Matthews, 84, of Martinsburg passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born June 21, 1932 in Hedgesville, WV she was the daughter of the late Andrew Ross Lemaster and Mary Ellen Harris Lemaster.

She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church.

She was an avid golfer.

June is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and their families; Cathy Knipe and husband, David whom she resided with; Susie Rude and husband, Barry of Falling Waters, James W. Hite and wife, Penny of Hedgesville, Mary Federline and husband, Barney of Chambersburg, PA, Janice Davis and husband, Chip of Martinsburg, Andy Hite and wife, Carol of Martinsburg, Leslie Bradford, Jr. of Arlington, VA; Karen Perrote and husband, Ralph of Arlington, VA, Mary Agnes Aron of LaPlata, MD, and Jennie Lou Plott and husband, Bruce of Port Republic, MD; and numerous great-and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris S. Matthews, Jr.; two sisters, Helen Bradford and Mary Frances Hite; and a niece, Judy Hite. She was the last of her immediate family.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:00AM at Harmony United Methodist Church with Rev. Terri Cofiell officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church from 10:00AM to 11:00AM.

Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Drake Sunday School Class c/o Harmony United Methodist Church, PO Box 1510, Falling Waters, WV 25419.
