Obituary for Theodore A. Snyder


Theodore A. Snyder died on Friday, May 13, 2016 He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Snyder, father to sons, Teddy, David, Christopher and Daniel Snyder. Loving grandfather to grandsons Nathan and Matthew and granddaughters Addison and Bethany.
Born on February 6, 1944 in Newark, New Jersey, spending his childhood in the Wilkes Bare-Scranton, Pennsylvania region. Ted enlisted in the US Army serving between 1961 and 1963 in Germany before being honorably discharged. He resided in Buffalo, New York through 1990 before relocating to Martinsburg with General Motors, retiring in 1999 after 33 years of dedicated service to the company.
Ted was devoted to his faith and family, enjoying working around his house, fishing and maintaining close relationships with his immediate and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore J. and Margaret I. (Zahorchak) Snyder and Brother Kenneth Snyder.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 11:00AM at St. Leo Catholic Church with Father Alfred Obiudu celebrant. Interment will be in St. Leo Cemetery.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00AM to 11:00AM prior to the service on Thursday.
