Obituary for Boyd Lee Brown

Boyd Lee Brown, 76, of Hedgesville died June 12, 2015 at the home while under the care of Hospice.

Born June 17, 1938 in Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Charles Fenton and Georgia Lee (Snyder) Brown.

He was an agricultural worker on cattle farms and orchards.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Marie (Hawkins) Brown; three sons, Boyd W. Brown, of Falling Waters, Jonathan A. Brown, of Hedgesville, and Raymond J. Brown, of Berkeley Springs; three daughters, Janet M. Brown, of Hedgesville, Cindy L. Moreland ,of Martinsburg, and Shannon M. Roberts, of Martinsburg; 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas E. Brown of Middleway, WV, Ollie L. Brown; and one sister, Annie Underwood of Bosie, ID.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Justin William Brown; four brothers, John Fenton Brown, Charles Franklin Brown, Harvey A. Brown and Robert M. Brown; and two sisters, Fannie Rachael Gaynor and Margaret Louise Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., June 16, 2015, at Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Rose Whalen officiating.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 15th, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
