Obituary for Ethel Arlene Payne

Ethel Arlene Payne, 78, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Berkeley Medical Center.
Born August 19, 1936 in Hedgesville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Retha Pitzer Byers.
She was a member of Johnsontown Church of the Brethren, where she had served in a variety of positions over the years.
In July 1986 she retired from working for 30 years as a secretary for Dr. Everett Fogle.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Levern Payne; one niece; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her only son, Larry D. Payne; and one brother, Roger Lee Byers.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m, Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Pleasant View Memory Gardens with Pastor Dennis Rhoe officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Johnsontown Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 278, Hedgesville, WV 25427.
