Obituary for John Daniel Nicholson

John Daniel Nicholson, 82, of Inwood, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Jefferson Medical Center.
Born October 4, 1931, in Kabletown, WV, he was the son of the late Ernest Aron Nicholson and Esther Nicholson.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1953 to 1955.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Dyke Nicholson; a brother, Charles Nicholson of Edinburg, VA; a brother in-law, Charles Henry Dyke and wife Joy of Strasburg, VA; and a sister in-law, Fleta Dyke of Toms Brook, VA.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Woodrow Nicholson, two sisters, Rachel Nicholson and Eva Ambrose.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Homes' South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Toms Brook, VA. Interment will be held in the St. Johns Reformed Church Cemetery.
