Deborah Jones Friesfriend1992-1999

My thoughts and prayers are with Grand Master's family and friends. I was a student in the early 90's. Through karate, even though I didn't show it then I learned discipline, respect, and true friendship. When my mom died, he was the first one to sign her guestbook, and which was a good thing because he signed his name so big that I don't think it would have fit on any of the lines below. He always asked me how I was doing and they were understanding of how I felt and how hard it was during that time. I know how strong he was and it especially showed the day after his son Dave was in a car accident. Grand Master was sad, but he continued with Saturday's class and the months after that until Dave could return. I'll always remember him making us do the duck walk around the room while he quacked at us. I'm extremely grateful to have had him and his family as a part of my life and he will never be forgotten.
