Chandler Nicole Upson, 17, of Charles Town, WV, died Saturday, November 6, 2010 as a result of an automobile accident.

Born September 19, 1993 in Pensacola, FL, the daughter of Commander Kelvin Lynn Upson, USN, and Jill Suzette Alford Upson.

Chandler was a senior at Washington High School in Charles Town.

She attended church at The Living Room, Martinsburg.

Chandler was a Captain on the Washington High School Varsity Soccer Team and a member of the U16 AYSO Girls Youth National Team, a member of the Varsity Basketball Team and the Grier School Varsity Equestrian Team.

Chandler studied French and traveled to Paris twice.

She had planned on attending Florida Atlantic University to study pre-med and become an orthodontist.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, D. J. Upson, a student at Davis & Elkins College; maternal grandparents, Thomas Alford and Merline Alford and paternal grandfather, Ernest Lee Upson; and loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Washington High School.

Interment at Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
