Obituary for Violet V. Burris (Stanley)
Violet V. Stanley Burris, 88, of Martinsburg, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at her home.
Born June 7, 1930 in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late William and Vallie V. Stanley.
She was a member of St Luke’s United Methodist Church. She retired from the A & P Grocery Store and was a member of Retail Clerks #1436.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Burris, of Martinsburg; one daughter, Susan Jones of Greensboro, NC; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James H. Burris, Jr. and Thomas Burris and a daughter, Virginia Painter.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 20. 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home.
Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the funeral home with Billy Stanley officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
