Obituary for Mark S. Meyers

Mark S. Meyers,89, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Homewood of Williamsport, MD.

He was the son of the late Harry S. and Bertha Cline Meyers.

Mr. Meyers was a retiree of Mack in Hagerstown, MD. He was a Veteran of the United States Armed Forces having served in the Army during the Korean War from 1950-1952.

He was a 52year member of the Grand Lodge of Maryland, Local Masonic Lodge 140 and was a Past Master.

Mr. Meyers was a faithful member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church for 15 years prior to moving to Homewood.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rosa Lee Dunn Meyers; two children, Catherine Patterson of Hagerstown, John Meyers who lives in California, and step-daughter, Sandra Evy, of Martinsburg; two brothers, John and Issac Meyers; and three granddaughters, Ellen Cook, Laura Evy, and Wanda Waters.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Pearl Meyers, Elva Keenan, Ethel Hawbaker, and Martha Martin; three brothers, Harry Irving and his twin, Paul.

A memorial service will be held on July 18, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Homewood Chapel. Williamsport. A reception will follow.

The family would like to thank the very caring and attentive staff of both the Homewood Assisted-Living and nursing home dementia units who have cared for Mr. Meyers for the past three years.
