Obituary for Clarice Velma Ryan

Clarice V. Ryan, 86 of Charles Town, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Clarice was born in Charles Town on June 2, 1931, the daughter of Reginald and Catherine M Staubs. Clarice worked as Ward Clerk at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, retiring after 31 years of service.

In addition to her parents, Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick K Ryan, their three children, Mike, Teresa, and Mark Ryan, and two brothers, Daniel and Marlyn Staubs.

Clarice is survived by two grandchildren, Mike Ryan and Marla McQuown, and Jamie Angle; great grandson, Bill Ryan (Sara), great-great grandson Art Ryan, three sisters, Arlene Terry (Pete), Ruth Mosely, and Brenda Pierson, one brother, Frank Staubs (Sue), many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Ginny Cain, Kaitlyn Weller and Robert Cullins. Clarice was devoted to her family and enjoyed hosting family dinners. Clarice was especially known for her baked goods, often gifting them to her friends and loved ones. Clarice will be greatly missed by her large family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at The Bridge church in Ranson, Saturday, May 5th at 11a.m., with a covered-dish luncheon to immediately follow at a secondary location. The family would like to extend an invitation to both events to special friends.
