Obituary for Theodore Raleigh "Ted" Largent

Theodore "Ted" Raleigh Largent, 87, of Martinsburg passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 in Waynesboro, PA at The Leland of Laurel Run.

Born June 5, 1930 in Waynesboro, PA he was the son of the late Albert James Largent and Myrtle Harm Largent.

He had worked for Wayne Finance and Landis Tool. He held several positions at First National and later retired as manager of Wayne Heights Branch.

He was a 1949 graduate of Waynesboro High School and attended Waynesboro Business College.

Ted played a season with semi-pro football team Waynesboro Tigers. He coached many little league baseball teams and midget football teams over the years. He was an avid roller skater and bowler. Ted was a member of Blue Ridge Boot Kicker Dance Club. He loved football and dance and having a beer with his good friend Harry Lord.

He was a member of Falling Waters Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lillie Hoover Largent; one step-son, William Todd Hoover; one step-daughter, Rhonda Lynn Hoover; one grandchild, Kyle Jacob Hoover; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert "Junior", Karl, and Robert; and four sisters, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Margaret, and Marie.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 2:00PM at Falling Waters Presbyterian Church with Rev. Debra McKune and Rev. John Cushwa officiating, with one hour receiving prior to service. Interment will be in Tuscarora Presbyterian Cemetery.
