Obituary for Donald Eugene "Don" Eckenrode Jr.
Donald “Don” Eugene Eckenrode, Jr, passed away Friday, September 16, 2017, at the Jefferson Medical Center. Born November 27, 1962, in Frederick, Maryland, he was the son of the late Margaret Louise Burriss Eckenrode.
Don served in the Army National Guard and worked for Shady Grove Adventist Hospital as a security guard. He loved touring Civil War battlefields and collecting baseball cards.
He is survived by his two daughters: Amanda Boggs, and husband Michael, and Amber Eckenrode; his sister, Hattie Keeney, of Frederick, Maryland, and his two grandchildren: Trinity Princler and Justin Bosley.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife of 7 years, Mary Louise Simpson Eckenrode.
Services and interment will be private.
