The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Benjamin Jones can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Sherrill Brinkley

Laughter and joy will always surround our memories of Ben. Whether faking his traveling house blind salesmanship or spinning a tale/prank from his youth, most every sentence was punctuated by his famous laughter. Marrying into the Jones' extended family more than 50 years ago, began a journey that even my wildest imagination could not reach. Among the first adventures was a trip to Baltimore to visit the founding "mother" of all fun and love, Lillian Powell Jones. That's where Ben, Petti, and 3 little Jones kids came scampering into my life. Little did I know the fun, laughter, and joy that would eventually be mine for having made the wisest of all decisions, marrying Ben's cousin, Susan. At this very minute Ben's voice, mostly his unique laughter, echos in my head. The joyful entertainment of shared conversations with Ben and Susan (my wife) are uplifting and remind us of the richness of cherished human relationships. No need to worry about Ben. Without question he has already been assigned first jester role in the Lord's entertainment court. For those who wish to hear Ben's laughter again, call his son, Steve. That famous sound is alive and well for still another generation resounding through his more youthful vocal cords. Susan joins me in love, admiration, and appreciation to all of Ben's family. We especially thank Clifford for keeping us so well informed.
