Obituary for Charles William Collins

Charles William Collins, 62, of Martinsburg passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born September 12, 1954 in Martinsburg, WV he was the son of the late John Franklin Collins, Sr. and Rosalee Barton Collins.

He was a member of Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren.

He loved to hunt and fish, avid outdoorsman, and Redskins fan. In his youth he played for a semi pro baseball team - The Blue Sox.

He is survived by two sons, Charles W. Collins, Jr. and Brian Scott Collins; one daughter, Jody Hernandez; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Thomas Neal Collins; and two sisters, Debbie Darlington and Lisa Marie Plotner.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Franklin Collins, Jr.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11:00AM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Edmonds officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
