Anna Mae Crowell, 80, of Martinsburg went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 14, 2016, at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born March 20, 1936 in Berkeley County, WV she was the daughter of the late Fred Herbert and Anna Sophronia Ballenger Butler.

She was the owner of Gaye Top Beauty Shop for 55 years.

She was a 1954 graduate of Musselman High School and was awarded Outstanding Alumni in 2009. She was a member of the Berk-Mar Garden Club and SNL (Some Neat Ladies) Group.

She is survived by two sons, Bryan Wright and his companion Lisa Cloonan; Brett Wright and wife, Brenda; step-son, Douglas Crowell; step-daughter, Kathleen Sisk; four grandchildren, Konnor Wright, Brandon Physioc and wife, Tabitha, Ben Wright, and McCrae Palmer and husband, Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Ella Grace Physioc and Alivia Rose Palmer; one brother, James William Butler and wife, JoAnn of Inwood; dear friends, Arlene LeMaster; Ginny Beall Simpson and husband, Gib, Bo Beall and wife, Tina, and Amy Beall Steinbicker and husband, Mark; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Crowell; two brothers, Fred Gold Butler and wife, Norma Jean; Thomas Ray Butler in infancy; and long-time companion, Charlie Beall.

Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11:00AM at Trinity Episcopal Church with The Rev. Julie Harris officiating.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430 or the Altar Guild of Trinity Episcopal Church, 220 W. King Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401.
