The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Raymond Whalen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: What a wonderful childhood we had on Calvin Lane and Mr. Whalen was always there. He will always be a part of our dear memories. My dad, Mike McGinley and Ray Whalen ... all a part of our childhood and now gone. I smile thinking that maybe they are up there, banded together, watching over us.

There are really no perfect words to make your sadness go away however I hope it brings you comfort to know how many caring thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: My sympathy to the family and friends of Raymond Whalen, please accept my heartfelt condolences. May you find strength and comfort in each other but most of all in Jehovah God and his promises to end all sickness and death and restore life by means of the resurrection. A beautiful time that will be and a wonderful hope for the future. (Revelation 21:3, 4)

Condolence: My deepest heartfelt condolences to your family . Losing ones we love is by far the most heartbreaking thing in life to bear. Two scriptures I find comfort in about the promise for the near future are John 5:28, 29, which promises that "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will.. come out", followed by the beautiful time that Revelation 21:4 describes: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." A beautiful time our loved ones who are "sleeping" in death (John 11:11-13) will come back to life & to us right here on an earth of restored peace & health in the near future (Psalms 37:11,29), & we'll never have to worry about losing them again (1 Corinthians 15:26). I hope you'll find comfort in looking forward to the fulfillment of those promises as I do, & knowing that your loved one is not suffering but is at rest until you can see them again, healthy & happy, once again very soon, for all eternity.

Condolence: What can I say other than Mr. Whalen was an amazing man. He was a hard worker and I know he loved his family. I have great memories of my childhood on Calvin Lane with the Whalen Family. Mr Whalen was always there for John growing up at all the games and man was I jealous of all the things they did together. Mr. Whalen made sure that John saw every cool rated "R" movie. I would wait to hear all about it!! well God Bless Mr. Whalen this world lost yet another great man.
