Obituary for Martha Rosa Lee "Rosie" Perrell (Bartley)

Martha Rosa Lee "Rosie" Perrell, 89, of Falling Waters, WV, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.
Born February 22, 1927 in Bessemer, WV, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Winthrow Bartley and Lottie May Maybush Bartley.
She was a member of Independent Bible Church, where she belonged to the Senior Saints and the choir. She also was a former children's choir director at Little Falls Presbyterian Church.
She was a member of the Senior Kickers, a volunteer at Homewood Retirement Home for over twenty years, and was involved with the PASS Program. She had been employed by the Board of Education as a substitute cook.
On June 21, 2016 Rosie and Daniel celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. They were married as soon as he returned from serving in the United States Army in 1946.
She is survived by her husband, of 70 years, Daniel C. Perrell; one son, Randy Jay Perrell of Falling waters; one daughter Jo Ellen Cannedy of Falling Waters; three grandchildren, Michael Castleman, and Kyle and Allyson Perrell; Three great-grandchildren, Denali, Keenan, and Sawyer Castleman.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Clark Perrell; and two sisters, Vallie May Bowers and Dorothy Foster; and one brother, Bruce Bartley.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Rosedale Cemetery.
