Franklin Petree

Heartfelt condolences to my son, Blaine, and the families of my Daughter in Law, Elisa Petree. She was truly an angel and may you find some degree of comfort in knowing she is now with her Lord and will suffer no more. Elisa may be described in many ways: beautiful, loving, faithful, kind, considerate, devoted to family and friends, etc., but I find the adjective, "selfless", most fitting. Throughout her long and tortuous battle with an implacable enemy, I never once heard her utter anything close to "why me". She was always cheerful, optimistic, unrelenting in her concern for the health and welfare of her family and friends and secure in her faith. In that she is now at home with her heavenly Father, we can all rest assured that she lost the battle but won the war. Though we now mourn her passing, Washington Irving reminds us "There is a sacredness in tears, they speak more eloquently than a thousand tongues and are messengers of unspeakable love". Please know that your beloved Elisa is still with you and your fond memories of her will sustain you in the difficult days ahead. May God bless and keep you all.
