Condolence From: Anna Mary & Gary Walsh
Condolence: In the circle of friends who worked at Shepherd (College) University, we were all close, concerned with each other's lives and always there for support. I count my years at Shepherd a blessing for all the wonderful staff I met, and Reuben will always hold a special place. An avid hunter, Gary and Reuben would always hold a conversation about their hunting experiences, which could take quite a while. We have lost a good friend but hold our memories of him close. Our thoughts and prayers follow Ann, Della, and the entire family.

Condolence: Our hearts are with the entire family. If there was a crown for the sweetest, gentlest, kindest neighbors, Reuben and Ann would be wearing them. Reuben now wears a crown of glory - well earned by a good and faithful servant. The entire neighborhood mourns with you. Much love, Val and CJ

Condolence: My sincere condolences to the Swope family. I first met Reuben while we were Freshmen at Shepherd College back in the 1960s. Although I moved out of the area many years ago I still saw Reuben at the Shepherdstown High School Alumni Banquet most ever year. I'll always remember him as a kind, considerate and pleasant to be around. My prayer is that he is safely home in Heaven reunited with his parents, relatives and friends that have gone on before him. Praise be to God!
