William Revelie  Agee
William Revelie Agee died at Berkeley Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV, on Friday, April 8, 2016.
Born on August 29, 1931 in Martinsburg, he was the son of William Doddridge Agee and Louisa Mae Gourley Agee.
Bill was a 1949 graduate of Martinsburg High School. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and after his discharge, he resumed his studies at Shepherd College and graduated in 1958. He earned an MBA as well as his Ph.D. from American University in Washington, D.C.
Although he held various jobs through the years, including being an accountant for Interwoven Mills and working as a college administrator at Shepherd College and American University, his greatest love was teaching. While teaching at Hood College in Frederick, MD, he was appointed Chair of the Economics and Management Department and upon his retirement, he was named Beneficial Associate Professor Emeritus of Economics and Management. He later enjoyed teaching high school as a substitute teacher for Berkeley County Schools and also served as a volunteer at Martinsburg High School.
He was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Among his many contributions to the church included serving on Church Council several times as well as being a church Trustee. He was a past Board Member of the Lutheran Seminary in Gettysburg, PA and had also served on the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Campus Ministry at Morgantown, WV.
Following retirement, he enjoyed time spent in the Canaan Valley area and for several years had used his computer skills tabulating records of migration for the Allegheny Front Migratory Observatory at Dolly Sods.
He is survived by daughter, Cheryl Lynn Agee Losh, and her husband, Rick, of Martinsburg; their children, Matthew Losh, and his wife, Kristin, and their two daughters, Skyler Smith and Kaitlyn Losh of Salisbury, NC; Eric Losh and wife, Meghan Ryan, of Brooklyn, NY; and Allison Losh Flynn and husband, Kevin, of Charles Town WV.
Also surviving are son, David William Agee, and his wife, Terese, of Jamison, PA; their children, Daniel S. Agee, of Jamison, PA, and Julie Agee, of Philadelphia, PA; son Daniel Lemen Agee and wife, Kimberly; their children, Eryn Agee Mills, and husband, Chad, and their children, Amelia, ("Mia"), and Daniel Mills; Amanda Agee Ferenchick and husband, Jamie, and their daughter, Gwendolyn Ferenchick; and Jonathan Agee and wife, Trina, and their son, Alexander Agee, all of Martinsburg.
He is also survived by his brother, Wesley Doddridge Agee, and spouse, Christine Keatley, of the Danville, VA area, as well as nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty years, Doris Jean Lemen Agee; an infant brother, Carl Hetzel Agee; brother Elwood Ryland Agee; and sisters Lillian Roberta Agee Greer and Encie Mae Agee Scott.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00AM at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Ronald Kreiensieck officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home.
