Obituary for Joyce Ann Walker

Joyce Ann Walker, 70, of Martinsburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at her residence.
Born January 25, 1945 in Martinsburg, WV she was the daughter of the late James William Butts and Mary Ellen Myers.
She was a member of Mountainside Tabernacle and a band member of Messenger of Praise.
She was very active with St. Judes.
She is survived by a two sons, William Douglas Walker, Jr. and John Clay Walker; one daughter, Kathy Renee Householder; five grandchildren, Angela Brooke Deeds, Alise Ann Walker, Matthew Allen Nine, Joshua Dion Myers, and Jessie Nicole Householder; two brothers, Roy Wesley Butts and Freddie Gene Butts; and one sister, Mary Louise McGowan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas Walker, Sr.; one son, Robert Dion Walker; one granddaughter, Jessica Ann Walker; five brothers, James W. Butts, Jr., Russell A. Butts, Curtis W. Butts, Charles E. Butts, and Lee V. Butts; and three sisters, Cora K. Kitchen, Pansey E. Morrison, and Betty Z. Stroup.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 2:30PM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Edward and Shirley Myers officiating. Interment will be in Mountainside Tabernacle Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
