Obituary for Mellissa Hughes Smith

Mellissa Hughes Smith is now rejoicing with her Lord and Savior as of February 24, 2015. She passed away at her home.
Born December 19, 1958 in Charles Town, WV she was the daughter of the late Henry Sherman and Hazel Washby Hughes
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers and three sisters.
She was lovingly cared for by her husband, Sylvester Smith and survived by children one son, Travis D. Smith; one daughter, La'Kei S. Smith; three grandchildren; and one adopted grandson; five sisters; three brothers; a host of nieces, nephews; great-nieces, great-nephews; family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00AM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor Imogene Smith officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM prior to the service. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
