Obituary for Joseph H. Winslow

Joseph H. Winslow, 66, of Martinsburg, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at the home of his daughter, while under the care of Blue Ridge Hospice.
Born November 3, 1948 in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late Vivian L. Winslow and Virginia C. Foreman Winslow.
He was a graduate of Maury High School in Norfolk.
He was a veteran of the US Army, retired having served two tours in Vietnam. He was a life-time member of the VFW Post 3160, and NC Beach Buggy Association.
He is survived by daughter, Jennifer H. Winslow and husband, Todd Butts, of Stephenson, VA; and Robert J. Winslow and wife, Danielle, of Martinsburg; four grandchildren, Samantha H. Butts, Ryan B. Butts, Joshua C. Winslow, and Seth J. Winslow; and two sisters, Gloria Baines of Chesapeake, VA, and Carol Mowers of Kill Devil Hills, NC.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Winslow.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Brown Funeral Home with Father Brian Shoda officiating.

Interment prayers will be said in Green Lawn Cemetery in Williamsport, MD with military graveside services.
