Obituary for Helen C. Lewis (Combs)

Helen C. Lewis entered her eternal home on Sunday, November 16, 2014 surrounded by her eleven children and extended family. She was born in Kirby, WV on February 10, 1928. She is the daughter of Riley G. Combs and Amy E. Combs. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James A. Lewis, brother Welton Combs, sister Madelyn Lewis, sister Mary Daugherty and grandson Nicholas T. Lewis.
She is survived by her sisters Pearl Ruckman and Claris Alkire. Her eleven children, Tom and Liz Lewis, Terry “Shortie” Lewis, Cheryl and Tommy Miller, Karen Lewis, Millie and Jim Harpine, Betty and Richard Anderson, Tim and Chickie Lewis, Teddy Lewis, Alicia and Joe Pletcher, Todd Lewis, and Tracy and Sherry Lewis, nineteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 , Friday, November 21, 2014 at Brown’s Funeral Home Chapel in South Berkeley with the Rev. Dr. Ben Jenkins officiating. A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2014.
