Obituary for Edna Irene Staubs

Edna Irene (Lanehart) Staubs, 82, of Martinsburg, formerly of Shepherdstown, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born August 15, 1932 in Washington Co., MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Lanehart and Bessie (Mills) Lanehart
She attended Warfordsburg High School where she enjoyed playing on the basketball team.
She was a member of the New Hope Assembly of God and attended Bethel Assembly of God churches. She was very active in Aglow.
Starting in 1955, Edna and her late husband, Charles, owned and operated Greenhill Dairy Farm. She also worked at Lorilyn Sewing Factory and Peoples Drug Store.
She is survived by her five sons, Dennis (Teresa) of Harpers Ferry, David (Tresa) of Martinsburg, Randy (Brenda) and Gary all of Shepherdstown, and Timothy (Shirley) of Inwood; daughter, Denise (Staubs) Ceravalo of Charles Town; daughters-in-law, Sue Staubs of Shepherdstown; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Alton Lanehart of PA; and two sisters, Goldie Deneen of PA and Patricia Benfield of FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Staubs; son, Douglas Staubs; and four brothers, Emory, Harry, Charles and Tim Lanehart.
Family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Arnold Brown officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Berkeley Senior Center.
