Larry W  Meyers
Larry W. Meyers, son of the late Charles O. Meyers and Helen Bock Meyers, passed from this life on July 25, 2014 at his home in Inwood, WV surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

He was born in Johnstown, PA, on November 24, 1941. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nancy Kay Frankenberry Meyers; a daughter, Shelly Goble and friend, James Williams, Newport News, VA; a son, Dwayne and his wife, Leigh Bennett Meyers, Martinsburg, WV and two grandchildren, Ashton and Kaleigh Meyers. He is also survived by two sisters; Karen Kearns and husband, Dick, Raleigh, NC; Wendy Morrison and husband Jerry, Wytheville, VA; a brother–in–law & sister-in-law, Robert and Barbara Frankenberry, Inwood, WV; four nephews and three nieces; several great nieces and nephews; and great and loving friends, Masonic Brother Melton and wife Joanne Kenney. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Hovermale Meyers.

A lifetime Lutheran, Larry was an active member and served for many years at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at Arden, WV. Larry loved the Lord and tried to serve accordingly. In 1971 he joined Triluminar No. 117 A.F.A.M. Masons and was Past Master from 1978 to 1979 and became a 32nd Degree Mason. He served as Trustee of the Lodge he loved. Larry worked for General Motors from 1962 until he retired in 1998. He was a member of UAW at General Motors.

He enjoyed gardening, working at home, the church and the lodge and traveling around the United States and Mexico with his wife. They spent several weeks in Land Yacht Harbor of Melbourne, FL, every year. He was always surrounded by family, friends and loved ones and will be sadly missed by all.

A celebration of life service will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Arden on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Christine Olson officiating. The interment service will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Middleway, WV with a Masonic Graveside Service. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to: Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1643 Pitzer’s Chapel Road, Martinsburg, WV, 25403; Berkeley County Humane Society, 554 Charles Town Rd., Martinsburg, WV 25405; or Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
