Margaret E. Myers Beavers, 95, of Martinsburg, passed away, Saturday February 15, 2014 at Heartland of Martinsburg.
Born August 9, 1918, in Clarke County, VA., she was the daughter of the late John H. Myers and Viola M. Fiddler Myers.
She was a member of the Vanville Church of Christ.
Margaret retired from Kings Daughters Hospital with 25 years of service.
She was a member of C.E.O.'s of Bunker Hill, a member of the South Berkeley Fire Department for many years, and was a Southern Belle for Berkeley County.
She is survived by three sons Richard Bernard Beavers, Ronald Eugene Beavers and wife Judy, Robert Ernest Beavers and wife Connie; five daughters Ruth E. Sperow and husband Bruce, Joan M. Arvin and husband Jerry, Dorothy J. Anderson, Nancy L. Moore and husband Leonard, Judy A. Finelli and husband Stephen all of Martinsburg; 33 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Myers of Ohio; three sisters, Mary Sytch of Williamsport, MD, Rachael Gray of Charles Town, and Lillie Mercer of Martinsburg.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, of 71 years, Edward E. Beavers; a son, Winfred Edward Beavers; son-in-law, Ralph Anderson, two grandchildren, one great grandchild; eight brothers, Walter, Paul, John, George, Donald, Joseph, Orville, Jim Myers; three sisters, Ella Hummel, Jane Welch and Dorothy Saladini.
Family will receive friends on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Homes' South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 18, at the South Berkeley Chapel with Minister Jeff Phillis officiating. Interment will be held in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Vanville Church of Christ, 11 Classic Road Martinsburg, WV 25405.
