Obituary for Michael John Stacey Dr.

Dr. Michael John Stacey, 51, of Martinsburg, died Monday, July 14, 2008, at his home.


Born November 29, 1956 in Sturgis, Michigan, the son of John and step-son of Pat Stacey, of Climax, Michigan, and Wilma Teet Stacey and companion, Jerry Skidmore, of Battle Creek, Michigan.


He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.


He was a graduate of Nazareth College, Nazareth, Michigan and a graduate of United Services University of the Health Sciences Medical School, Bethesda, MD.


He was an emergency room physician at the VA Medical Center and Medical Director of First Priority Medical Choice.


He was a member of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Reserves and Captain of Berkeley County Horse Mounted Reserves.


In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tamra L. Castleberry Stacey; two sons, Jason M. Stacey, of Inwood, and Timothy M. Stacey, of Martinsburg; one sister, Lori Schultz, of Battle Creek, Michigan; mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Donna Castleberry, of Battle Creek, Michigan; brother-in-law, Tim Castleberry and wife, Karie, of Battle Creek, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by a brother, Mathew Stacey and a sister, Linda Jensen.


Military graveside services will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Battle Creek, Michigan, at a later date.


The family will receive friends at the Brown Funeral Home Friday, July 18, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
