Obituary for Larry Jackson Stamets

Larry Jackson Stamets, 74, of Martinsburg, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born June 3, 1945, in Muncy, PA, he was the son of the late Jackson Persun Stamets and Thelma Pearl Miller Stamets.

He loved his dogs Katie and Millie, singing, his church Johnsontown Bible Church, and oil painting. Larry enjoyed traveling, especially to Gatlinburg, TN.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandra Albert Stamets; one daughter, Rachel and husband Dave; one son, Aaron; four grandchildren; Ayden, Harper, Alexis, and Blake; and one sister, Cora Dawn Chamberlain and husband Harold.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Johnsontown Bible Church with Pastor Jim Bishop officiating with John Cushwa assisting. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to Johnsontown Bible Church, 68 Camp Frame Road, Hedgesville, WV 25427.
