Obituary for William Lee Zombro
William Lee Zombro, age 93, of Harlan Springs Road, Martinsburg and Twin Oaks Assisted Living, Williamsport, MD, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021.
He was born June 11, 1927 in Berkeley County, WV and was the son of the late Thomas L. and Florence B. McDowell Zombro.
He was a graduate of Hedgesville High School class of 1945, Bliss Electrical School, Silver Spring, MD and several Navy schools. He retired from DuPont with 28 years of service as an electrician mechanic. He was a life-long member of Falling Waters Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and Elder.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jean A. Zombro.
He is survived by one son, Thomas Zombro of Martinsburg; one daughter, Nancy Spangler and husband John of Falling Waters; granddaughters, Jill Spangler of Plantation, FL, Lori Effland and husband Denver of Martinsburg, and Kate Zombro and great granddaughter, Emma Mohamed of Dover PA.
Family and close friends will be welcomed at Falling Waters Presbyterian Church at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2021 prior to the service at 2:00 PM with Rev. John Cushwa and Rev. John McDonald officiating. Interment will be in the Falling Waters Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Cemetery Fund, Falling Waters Presbyterian Church, 2928 Hammonds Mill Road, Hedgesville, WV 25427.
