William Henry Root, 86, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2023, at Berkeley Medical Center.
Born September 4, 1936, he was the son of the late Joseph Henry Root and Mildred (Messersmith) Root. William was self-employed in the printing industry. He was of the Methodist faith.
William is survived by one son, James W. Root; a daughter; and one sister, Nancy R. Wingfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife who passed 27 years prior to him, Louise Morrow (Potts) Root.
Service and interment are private.
