Obituary for William Beal "Tink" Manor

William “Tink” Beal Manor, Jr., 66, of Hedgesville passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at his home.

Tink was born on July 17, 1954 in Martinsburg, WV and is the son of William Beal Manor, Sr. and the late Betty Manor.

Tink was a graduate of Hedgesville High School. He married and started his own business, Tink’s Excavating in 1976. He would continue to expand his business until 2005 when it would become Manor Concrete Enterprises, LLC.

Tink loved his church, Falling Waters Presbyterian Church, where he spent time helping to build the pavilion and many other projects. He served on the Maintenance Committee and was a Trustee. He supported 4-H, FFA, Berkeley County Youth Fair, and served on the Advisory Committee for James Rumsey Vo-Tech Institute.

Tink was a hardworking man who attributed his hard work and ethics from his grandfather, Leslie Ray Manor, and father, Bill, his mentors. His favorite thing to do was helping others.

Tink is quoted as being comfortable being who he was. God blessed him in many ways and he wanted to use the talents God gave him wisely.

Tink had retired and learning to relax and enjoy the river lot while he still found work to do. He found new joy in cooking and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

The person Tink wanted to meet from history was Jesus. He followed his heart and realized his dreams.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty-four years Diana Manor; supportive father of three children, Valerie Ledford (Clifton), William Manor, III, and Leslie Manor (Jacqui); four grandchildren, Austin, Madison, Briley, and Lukas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the eldest of seven children, Michael (Cynthia), Jeffery (Sharon), Duncan (Debbie), Tamra (Kent), Elizabeth (Matt), and Scott (Anita).

The Brown Funeral Home will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 3:00PM to 5:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 1:00PM with Rev. John McDonald officiating, assisted by Rev. John Cushwa at the Falling Waters Presbyterian Church Pavilion.

Interment will be in Falling Waters Presbyterian Church Cemetery at Spring Mills.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given in Tink’s name to Falling Waters Presbyterian Church, 2928 Hammonds Mill Road, Hedgesville, WV 25427.
