Obituary for Theodore H. Ruppenthal, Jr.
Theodore H. Ruppenthal, Jr., 70, of Martinsburg passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at his residence.
Born July 21, 1950 in Martinsburg, WV he was the son of the late Theodore H. Ruppenthal;, Sr., and Betty Lou Nicely Ruppenthal.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines 7th Division. He served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970 and earned 2 Purple Hearts.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica Longerbeam Ruppenthal; three sons, Ted “Little Teddy” Ruppenthal of Martinsburg, Shawn Ruppenthal and wife, Maryann of Tampa, FL and Justin Ruppenthal and wife, Crystal; two stepsons, James Tabler and Evan Stallings; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his siblings, Brian, Pam and Beth.
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Mary Elizabeth Tabler Ruppenthal and one son, Jody Ruppenthal.
Graveside service will be held with Military Honors on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with Dr. Henry Christie officiating. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
