Obituary for Terry Russell Kooken
Terry Russell Kooken, 77, of Martinsburg passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born August 23, 1943 in Keyser, WV he was the son of the late Edward Robert Kooken (who was killed in combat during World War II) and Nadine Haines Kooken Ours and step-father, James E. Ours.
He was a graduate of Keyser High School in Keyser, WV and attended Potomac State College. After moving to Martinsburg, he worked at the Martinsburg Veneer Plant, Warner Cable, Schmidt Bakery, Handy and Harmon, and Aker Plastic (MAXX).
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Custer Kooken; one son, James Kooken of Martinsburg; five grandchildren; three sisters, Judy Butler of Martinsburg, Becky Keller (Curtis) of Bunker Hill, and Sharon Eure (Paul) of Sneads Ferry, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Kooken.
Services and interment are private.
