Stephen Charles White, 92, of Falling Waters passed away and went to be with Jesus on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Williamsport Retirement Village.
Born June 23, 1928 in Rover, Missouri. He was the son of the late Erza Absolum and Mary Elizabeth White.
He attended Harmony United Methodist Church until his health no longer permitted.
He is survived by one sister, Margaret Jane “Janie” Allen; two children, Pamela Dawn Unger and Stephen “Greg” White; three grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Carol Dawn White; three brothers, Edward, Frank, and Erza “Junior”; and two sisters, Vera and Susie.
He attended elementary school in Rover, went on to Thomasville where he dropped out of school to help his dad in the general store. When he was 16 years old, he traveled with “Chick” Warren Wheat Harvest all through the Midwest. Then he moved to Ohio, joined the rodeo, and traveled to all major cities and Cuba until he married. Then he drove a truck until he retired.
Stephen was a jokester and a tease. He made friends easily. He loved meeting the guys at McDonalds every morning.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
