Obituary for Solomon Dunkley

Solomon Dunkley, 71, of Martinsburg passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at his residence.

Born October 11, 1949 in Jamaica he was the son of the late Leanora Davy and Calvin and Maude Dunkley.

He loved music, western movies, his family and cooking. He worked in various orchards throughout the community and worked for 15 years at the WD Tannery.

He is survived by eleven children, Justin, Gerald, Carlos, Gregory, Conroy, Lensroy, Worrel, Michael, Donnette, Danisha, and Rayvn; twenty-one grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Larma Menderson; nieces, Pam, Donna, and Stacy; and nephew, Nevel.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Davy; and one sister, Euakee Davy.

The Brown Funeral Home will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 9:00AM to 11:00AM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM.

Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
