Sherry Kay Trussell, 70 of Charles Town passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at her home. Born May 31,1952 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Richard Lee Wise and Vernie Weatherholtz. Sherry worked for Dixie Narco, ran a childcare in her home for over 30 years. In her spare time, she would crochet blankets for the Ronald McDonald house, hospice and for the hospital.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Miller Trussell, son Travis Odel Trussell and wife April of Middletown, Virginia, brothers, Donald Wise and wife Sherri of Kentucky, Richard Wise, Jr. of Indiana and Danny Wise and wife Tammy of Martinsburg, grandchildren, John Garrett and Addison Trussell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Dyche.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday May 17,2023 at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with the Dr. Henry Christie officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
